Are You Ready?

Yes, I admit it. I am a big fan of the "Left Behind" series. I was smart about it though, I waited until ALL the books were wrote, and then my daughter purchased the whole set on Ebay. I borrowed the whole set, and read straight through, the first book to the last. I didn't want it to end.

To those of you not familiar with the books, let me tell you a bit about them. It focuses around a few main characters, and starts just before the rapture of the church. It ends 7 years later with the Lord Jesus and all his followers returning to earth.

Much debate has gone on in Christian circles on how true the story is to what will really happen. The truth is ...... I don't care. Even if 1/4 of it turns out to be similar to future events, it gave us some idea of life after the rapture. You got attached to the characters, and were glued to the decisions that they had to make.

Which brings us to today. I always tell people who ask questions about the rapture and the tribulation, that it doesn't matter if it is 10 minutes from now, or 100 years from now. We must be ready.

Now, your probably saying to yourself. "I'm a Christian, I don't have to be ready"

Vernon McGee, a Pastor who died in 1988, and who started "Thru the Bible" radio show, once said he gets ready every day. Because every day whether it was the sin of anger, or laziness, or not helping when you should, he confessed his sins. He did not want to meet up with the Lord with a list of sins attached to him unconfessed.

But what about the ones we love? The ones who don't believe or don't care about the Lord. Are you in prayer for them? Do they know what faces them if they are not raptured? Will they even listen?

While you are praying CONSTANTLY for them. Do them another favor. Prepare the unprepared.

Print off the following for them. It is instructions for them after the rapture. What to expect, who to believe, how to survive, and most importantly, how to join us in heaven.
