Cows and Terrorists and Terri Schiavo

James 2:14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith, but does not have works? Can his faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you don't give them what the body needs, what good is it?


As I was reading news stories for my newsletter "Christian Activism News" this past week, I came across this headline:

Rancher charged with starving 120 cows in Immokalee

It seems that a farmer in Florida had lost his job. His life went downhill from there, and soon he had no money to buy the food to feed his cows. Someone notified authorities and he now faces 5 years in prison.

Now, nothing against the cows, but why is starving cows a crime, and in the very same state, they had just starved a woman to death?

If the farmer is smart, he will hire George Felos for his attorney. Mr. Felos can then hold press conferences and inform the public the cows actually "wanted to die"


More weirdness......

Debbie Schlussel recently wrote an article called "Thumbs Down: Roger Ebert Helps A Terrorist"

Debbie takes on Roger Ebert who is doing his best to keep a known terrorist here in the State of Michigan. Though the Ebert story is interesting, what jumped out at me was this:

Worse, elected officials like Senator Carl Levin and Rep. Fred Upton are equally fawning. Attacking the Parlak deportation ruling as “unjust,” Levin called this murderer and terrorist “a peaceful citizen” and is rumored to be considering a “Private Bill” to give Parlak instant U.S. citizenship, a rare honor bestowed on heroes, like the Iraqi lawyer who led troops to Jessica Lynch. Upton, one of the most liberal Republicans in Congress, says he’s now helping Parlak’s family.

Carl Levin? The man who would not lift a finger to help Terri Schiavo, and lectured others on getting involved in personal matters?

But he is rumored to be considering a "Private Bill" to keep this man in this country? A man who has trained in terrorist camps and was convicted of killing two Turkish policemen? Let's pull out all guns on this one and fight. But stay out of the Terri Schiavo story..............WARPED!
